Terms of Service

GENERAL
Customers must be over the age of 18 to order from me. Any parts commissioned are worn at the owner’s risk. I am not responsible for any loss or damage to person or property caused by the wearing of the suit. Allergy warning: fabrics are marked using chalk, so please communicate with me if this is a concern during the commission process. Work is also based in a home with pets, so a completely allergen-free suit is never guaranteed.

CONTACT
Communication between the customer and artist is paramount. If you are unable to be contacted for whatever reason (e.g. travelling), then you need to inform me in writing. If I do not receive a reply from you within 10 days, you will receive a warning. If a further week goes by without contact, it will be assumed that you have cancelled; all work will cease, and your commission will be cancelled. Communication must always be polite. Any undue behaviour (threats, blackmailing, rude comments, etc.) will result in a warning, and potentially lead to the cancellation of your commission without a refund. Anything agreed upon in writing is binding.

ESTIMATES
I no longer provide quotes - potential customers need to use the estimate calculators to get an estimate of what their commission would cost. This is not an official quote, and the final quote amount may differ from what the estimate calculator provided. Potential customers are responsible for filling out the calculator correctly, to ensure as accurate an estimate as possible.

ORDERING
Customers must understand that a fursuit is a one-of-a-kind, handmade costume. Minor imperfections, flaws and asymmetry can and do occur. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Changes to the reference art after approval are not accepted. All my fullsuit commissions require the use of a Duct Tape Dummy (DTD). Proper instructions on how to construct one will be given at the appropriate time during your commission - these instructions must be closely followed to ensure an accurately fitting suit. Do not complete a DTD until you have been given the instructions. Inappropriately made DTDs will be discarded, and you will have to send another one at your own cost. If I am forced to work with your flawed DTD, you will be charged an inconvenience fee of $200.

PAYMENT
I only accept payments through Square. All final estimates are in USD with a Canadian Dollar conversion. If you would like your total converted to another currency, please use Google. Please note that all Canadian commissions are subject to relevant taxes. For further information on taxes, please don't hesitate to ask. I only accept one form of payment plan: 50% of the total amount is required upfront within 24 hours. If the value of the order is less than US$1,000, full payment is due upfront. If I do not receive this initial payment within 24 hours of acceptance, your slot will be forfeited and given to the next interested client. The remaining 50% of the total and the shipping and insurance fees are required within 72 hours of the suit's completion. Any delay to either payment will incur a storage fee of $5/day. I do not accept cryptocurrency as payment. Anyone who attempts to make a payment using cryptocurrency will be refunded and receive one warning. Any further attempts will result in a full commission refund and cancellation of the commission, and you will be blacklisted.

REFUNDS
Once a suit has been completed, no refunds are offered. If the customer requests a refund during the making process, the amount refunded will depend on the work that has been put into the commission and the cost of supplies. I reserve the right to cancel any commission. Grounds for a termination of a commission include, but are not limited to: harassment or abuse, rude or undue behaviour, or slandering of my business. If a cancellation from my side does occur, you will receive a full refund; I will keep the suit and/or any parts, and sell the suit after alterations to the design have been made, as to not resemble your character.

DEADLINES
I do not work with any deadlines, no exceptions. It is preferred that you have an excellent quality suit that will last, rather than a rushed product. Delays to construction may be from my end (e.g. illness, travel) or the customer's end (e.g. not sending items on time, late payments).

ESTIMATES
All time estimates given at any point during the quote or commission process are just that – estimates. All dates are subject to change at any time, with or without notice. Completion months are not set in stone, and are subject to change due to delays, foreseeable or otherwise.

SHIPPING
All shipping is paid for by the customer. Cost estimates for shipping are given during the quoting process, and the final payment is required in full once the suit is finished. Once the suit leaves my possession, I have no control over it, and am therefore not responsible for damages or loss caused by the postal services, nor extra time/cost due to customs. All suits are insured for the shipment. A signature is required on arrival of the parcel to the customer’s address.

REPAIRS AND WARRANTY
All commissions have a 60-day warranty, which takes effect once the product is in the customer’s possession. If in the first 60 days, the suit becomes damaged due to a fault of mine (e.g. seams coming undone, glue not holding) then I will gladly fix it free of charge. The customer pays shipping to my workshop, and I will cover the cost of return shipping. If, however, the suit does not fit due to an incorrectly made DTD, becomes damaged by negligent fault of the customer, or needs repairs due to normal wear and tear or abuse after the initial 60 days, then I will repair it for a base charge of US$100 for every hour (or part thereof within my judgement) plus materials, and the customer pays for shipping both to and from the workshop. If the work reaches my studio and requires more work than anticipated, you will be provided with an updated quote and we will decide how to proceed jointly. When commissioning, please mention "new website, who dis" when prompted to in the quote process to let me know you have read this entirely. Any alterations made to the suit by someone other than myself renders the warranty null and void.  Minor fixes (such as seam stitching and small re-glues) are not included in this warranty breach – please send a picture of the part that needs repairing and I will advise you on how to perform a repair yourself or actions to take. All suits returned for repairs or alterations are to be clean – any dirty fursuit will incur an extra cleaning fee of US$100, or it will be sent back at the cost of the customer unfixed. I am also more than willing to work on older suits of mine and give them some new life (replacing worn parts, small upgrades), but full refurbishments will not be accepted.

PHOTOS
I reserve the right to post photos of the completed fursuit on my business social media and website. As the customer and owner of the suit, you also have the right to the photos of your own suit to use at your disposal. Any other parties do not reserve the right to use the pictures or repost without permission.
